I'd gotten into a rut playing lots of shotgun turret whip style, loaded up the Lok-1 last night, it was so fun, reminded me of this video of yours!

Driller is MVP. 1.) Driller can drill a hidey hole on the top or the engi can make a bridge to drop demo charges. 2.) Driller can get his own special supply pod just for him, this can go on the bridge in a carved out section in the demo drop hole. 3.) Melee Damage/Axes. Melee is 'super effective' against robots. Drillers axes can 1 shot the Metal Noodles if it lands on the head or two on the stalk. Power Attacks should 1 shot Metal Noodles. I run with extra damage power attack not sure about quick recharge. All classes can quickly 1 tap the noodle with a pa. Drillers drills shred shredders. Driller never needs to worry about shredder swarms. Just drill into them, don't let them come to you. You drill into them. 4.) The axes are good against the eye itself too. You can cancel the animation to throw axes super fast. You can cancel the animation by right clicking for melee attack but then switch to another throw. 5.) Store excess axes by throwing them at the ground before resupping. 6.) Like the video said drill little hidey holes/minibunker(s) for your allies to recharge their shields, resupp, take cover from turrets, and corral shredder swarms. I would recommend having the resupp in the safety of the mini bunker. It should have enough space to escape phase bombs. TWO ways of getting in and out in case one way gets blocked. I.E swarmers/exploders/another player/w.e 7.) Drill UNDER your dying allies and bring them down and into cover as you revive them permitted phase bombs aren't active. Or QUICKLY if they are lol. Maybe make a hole and leave, then revive later. 8.) I can't seem to drill fast enough to avoid phase bombs, get into an area with enough space to get around the phase bombs. General: Robots or caretaker minions will automatically be destroyed when they are set on fire. This doesn't work on the caretake itself but on the Metal Noodles, shredders, turrets, etc, prospector, nemesis, etc. All are highly allergic to fire and melee are effective against them. Sometimes its just better to dps something depending on the loadout, sometimes you can just burn it. Keep this in mind for your loadouts. I.E engineer with hyper propellant and the heat damage mod can normally 1 shot most enemies robots or turrets. The shard diffractor is good too. Have a good single target option. Driller can use the EPC with heavy hitter, Gunner with a bull dog and elephant rounds. Everything but the shredders really begs for good single target damage. Again the Power Attack can 1 shot a Noodle, even on the stalk. For the repulsor phase. I'm sure most have figured this out but, you actually want to run towards the caretaker when this happens. The repulsors expand as they travel out but have the same speed, so logically being closer means you don't have to travel as far to avoid them. Having your special bunker spots too far away can mean the repulsor phase nullifies their worth and can even make them death traps. For higher hazard levels knowing what to do and where quickly, the whole team doing what they need to do quickly can mean starting the fight with more ammo and more health. Scout: Driller can basically solo the vent phase, but Scout is generally the best at actually putting consistent damage on the eye. Scout is the best at power attacking a stalk. The area right in front of the Caretaker only becomes electrified after some time. You will be able to see and know if it is. You can take this time to maneuver, take out a Noodle, and fall back to a safer spot, while getting your damage in as best you can. Obviously as Scout your the quickest, you can sometimes revive someone even in the phase bomb phase, are best at surviving phase bombs, repulsors. Focus on staying alive and keeping your team mates up. Gunner will obviously be doing this as well with his shield but even the shield can crumble against a mass PB attack. Don't be afraid to leave a comrade if it means your going to die, you can go and come back. The Scout doesn't really have much prep to do. Maybe ask the Driller for a mini bunker, 1 special resupp away from everyone else. But generally you want to cover your allies as they make their preparations. Engineer: Plug holes, make landing pads. Platform towers imo are only a last resort. Your better off making places for your team to land and basically parkour proof the area. Deep chasms on the side where players can fall to their death are bad, very bad. If there are cave structures coming off the ceiling you can make overhead cover. This is helpful against the Noodle strikes and sniper turrets. Generally the attacks come from above so overhead cover is helpful. Obviously if need be assist the Driller in getting a Demo Drop spot. Even if you as an engi prefer to be above, your allies would really benefit from overhead cover on the ground floor. Gunner: Zip lines can give your team a great way to get to the eye quickly and with relative safety. Phase bombs don't materialize in midair! If your on a zip line you are PB proof! How about that! I as a Driller like to have a zip if possible from the Demo Drop spot to the ground level so I can help out with the Eye phase. This is generally best done right after the shield drops because generally the shield interferes with the zip. If your Driller asks for one just be mindful of that and maybe suggest doing it after the shield is down. Otherwise have a few zips for miners to get to where they need to go. Even if you plan on staying put in one area, being able to get to your allies bodies can be helpful. You will likely be resupping mid fight so maybe save 1 zip for the beginning of the fight but has as many out as possible before then. There's my guide. Im not even level 200 yet so I'm sure some greybeards may scoff but this is what've learned so far. Playing in a premade team in VC you can generally have a really good and more concise plan, but with a random team your communication and the different players and classes seem to have their preferences. So my bottom line suggestion, play as Driller, learn the fight as Driller, git gud as Driller. If not that then Scout. Both can basically carry the fight.

Isn’t hawkeye system the one that makes the turrets focus on your laser pointer? I think defender system would be better for the “set it and forget it” idea because the turret would have a wider scanning range allowing it to perform better without you having to do anything.

Someone tell GSG to add "Jelly sack" as a voice line 😂😂😂 Also, I remember not liking the Loki because of the ammo capacity. But my friend told me try it again, and I couldn't put it down!! Haven't tried this overclock either. I usually use the Seeker Rounds, so I'll have to give this one a try! Rock & stone miners!!

It's so annoying how the majority of customization options are locked behind layers and layers of RNG.

Cool thing I found out about the twins during a deep dive is that you can actually insta kill them both with the caretakers death explosion. Still my favorite ending to a solo deep dive

3:12 You don't have to hump the oppressor with the loki; You mention manipulating the lock but you skimmed past one of the most useful features it has. Instead of trying to run around behind it you can just pull your crosshair up and have the bullets curve around the bug to hit the sweet spot. 7:00 It seems to fail sometimes because of the "doesn't keep firing into dead bugs" feature. It could also be a case of you not getting 3 locks because of the wider lens.

Tried this build yesturday, and dear lord does it shred. On average I got more than double the kills than any team mate... and I kept forgetting to use my shredder grenades

To be honest, the only underpowered granades are the sticky and the HE granades, they are just overshadowed in overall utility and damage by the others. Espetialy sticky but i guess it realy is just the baseline for granades, and HE can be usefull, but requires a lot of getting used to than the others.

If our exp goes against what the stats say for the game then i say myth confirmed, i play gunner and driller, legit a 50% chance to get an overclock for them yes? Then explain why i have and im not joking EVERY SINGLE OC FOR SCOUT IN GAME before i got even ONE OC for driller OR gunner? Stats say one thing, our exp says another, which to me is myth confirmed

Istg get a mouse and keyboard, biggest game changer in this game. As a very decent regular haz 4 and haz 5 player, switching to mnk first felt like a mistake, all of a sudden its not so easy anymore. But 3 days in i started to hit all the buttons right and THE AIM my god dont get me started on the aim you’ll get, like first say in itb was already better than after years on controller. Just get mouse and keyboard, its like 150 but it’ll elevate you to a whole nother dimension of mining. Rock and Stone!!

19:23 I would probably take tier 5a or c rather than b on burning hell minigun because they interface with the weapon overheating faster much better and overall make the minigun a lot stronger than if you are building because you are afraid of overheat (I would also take tier 1b for the same reason)

Killing enemies is helpful and all, Scout is a class mainly meant for taking out high priority targets, but this video is not it. Purposefully destroying Swarmer nests just to pad out your kill count isn’t cool. Leaving snarky replies on some comments also isn’t cool. How can you say to “forget about competition” when you seem to care an absurd amount about getting the most kills, and for what?

I also noticed that you can also use lok1 to shoot on the enemy thats further and hitting closer ones through the line!

Now for the scouts secondary scouts shotgun they could have given more blasts damage to the base gun about 50 in stead of 20 the zhukov has a base gun is really good when it does it's the mods that what's holding back so some mod need some tweaks a bit and fix certain ones and now for the crossbow it's a cool weapon I also need some tweaks as well it 5 more ammo in it base gun and exploit the more radius damage make the radius bigger so that the radius actually does matter that way you don't have to rely single Target like praetorians and oppressors because both of them resist piercing damage however the radius doesn't have to be big to balance out the long range of the gun.

Is it a good guide however my issue with Scout its ammo efficiency but when I mean ammo efficiency I don't mean that the lack of ammo on Scout I mean his primary and one of the secondary first Gk2 is a good weapon now it just needs more ammo 60 worth of ammo on the base gun than the m1000 just take two of the ammo from the the mod and converted into the base gun then the drack is it sustained fire that needs to be more it's only 44 ammo untill it overheated so it could have been 55 until it overheats with these buff it makes scouts better and more ammo efficient.

I got left last night. Me and another dwarf who had popped their self-rez to try and save me. Karl damned nemesis. Our third ran when he could have saved us and while part of me felt betrayed, I could feel my beard graying as I wanted him to complete the mission. If only I couldve sent him a R&S.

I love the video and I am inspired to play more scout! But I still prefer the guy who realized that there are no warcrimes against bugs!

as a scout all you have to do is this: >light up the caves >grab stuff on the ceiling >focus primary targets your minerals mined or teammates revived should be the numbers you focus on, not kills grabbing a slightly more aoe focused primary to defend yourself in the small bug ambushes is a good idea (drak is good for this and it can still take out trijaws and such decently fine) but triggering swarmer nests do you can artificially inflate your kill count, especially if your just burning m1k ammo on them, is absolutely stupid

21:47 I joined a random lobby that was Liquid Refining, and they had a Signal Transmitter and a Trililite Meteor events that spawned, and they gave ZERO quacks about it, myself and the other random attempted to do them, but as we did, they started the refining machine, triggering waves of enemies and refused to help us. We failed both events, but did succeed in the primary objective. (Yes they were relatively new players) But that was a first for me, typically most players want to do everything and are eager to learn, not these guys though.

I think the most impressive thing is for you to play at this level on gameplay with an Xbox controller, and not keyboard/mouse.
